Pictorial Evaluation Tool Training and Support

Provision of Technical Support - Senior PET Trainer, for IMC Worldwide, October 2018

 

AA International organized and delivered a PET Training course in and around Juba, South Sudan for officers involved in the DFID funded "Building Resilience through Asset Creation and Enhancement (BRACE) II" project, with a view to incorporating PET yield assessments into its future Monitoring and Evaluation activities.

Supply of crop yield measuring equipment

 

AA International procured/manufactured and supplied crop yield measuring equipment (quadrats and scales) to FAO South Sudan, for its annual 2018 Crop and Food Supply Assessment - January 2018.

Development and finalisation of Pictorial Evalutaion Tools:  PET-Crops South Sudan and PET-Livestock South Sudan manuals.

Following the publication of the manuals, AA International delivered training of PET methodologies for Crop Production and Livestock Performance Assessing during October and December 2015 -(Welthungerhilfe)

 

AA International was also involved in assessing and  support to the UN Crop and Food Supply Assessment Mission (CFSAM) during this time - (UN/FAO).

UN FAO - September, October-November, December 2014 and February 2015

 

AA International undertook a series of missions to South Sudan to help implement the previously developed year-long roadmap for Crop and Food Supply Assessments (CFSAM) in South Sudan. This included the delivery of training in PET methodologies for Crop Production and Livestock Performance Assessing as well as support to the UN CFSAM.

Planting Assessment Missions - Bahr el Ghazal, Western and Central Equatoria - 2014

 

These planting and assessment missions were an activity undertaken as part of the year-long roadmap for Crop and Food Supply Assessing, previously developed by AA International staff. The mission to Bahr el Ghazal took place in May-June 2014. That in Western and Central Equatoria during March-April 2014.

AA International staff provided the team leader for the UN/FAO/WFP Crop and Food Security Assessment Missions (CFSAM) for South Sudan.

These missions were to estimate cereal production and assess the overall food security situation.

Mid Term Evaluation of the Food Security Thematic Programme, Concern Worldwide, Aweil West County

Concern Worldwide - January-February 2012

 

In 2012 AA International was contracted to evaluate a programme in Aweil West County, by Concern Worldwide.

Support to Southern Sudan Livelihoods Recovery and Development Project

AA International provided advice and support to key FARM-Africa staff in South Sudan, in the design and conduct of a baseline survey as part of their livelihoods recovery and development project.

At the end of the baseline, AA International conducted the analysis and produced the baseline survey report, using the SPSS (Statistical Product and Service Solutions) computer package.
